Ailish Ruth O’Connor was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1983. She immigrated to Canada with her parents at the age of two and moved to Medicine Hat in 1987. Ailish was the first child of Dominica and Michael and big sister to Siobhan and Brian. She met the love of her life, Christopher Thompson and they were married on July 31, 2010.

Ailish was dedicated to her work for the City of Edmonton, most recently as a strategic planning director in Finance and Treasury. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree.

Ailish was accomplished, lively, loving and loyal. She died suddenly one week after her twenty-eighth birthday. She will be sorely missed by her husband, her family, friends and co-workers.
